Fracture of C2 — Different methods of fixation

Fractures of Odontoid (C2 vertebrae) can be managed by ventral or dorsal approach.
The approach depends upon the extent of dislocation and angle of fracture. We present three such cases.
Case 1 — C1 Lateral mass — C2 transpedicular fixation
Case 2 — Trans-Odontoid Screw
Case 3 — C1 Lateral mass — C2 trans-laminar fixation
All these patients had good recovery post-operatively.
Aids used: Neuro-Navigation and 3D C-arm
